Hills Golf Resort & Spa is located on the north east coast of
Phuket, just 10 minutes from Phuket Airport. This Nicklaus designed
course was opened in 2004 and is now regarded as one of the best in
Phuket.
Nestled amongst a coastal mangrove forest and rubber plantations,
Mission Hills offers a challenging championship layout with stunning
views of the Andaman Sea from several holes. Designed to provide a test
for experienced golfers, yet accommodating for the occasional player
the course provides a relaxing round of golf for all. The course is
kept in good condition, with Paspalum Sea Isle grass on the fairways
and greens and water comes into play on numerous holes, as well as warm
sea breezes from the Andaman Sea.
Unusual features of the course include an island which has two greens
for the 2nd and 5th holes. The par 5 2nd hole requires two accurate
shots, leaving a comfortable third to the island green while the par 4
5th plays back to the island green from island tees in a huge sandy
waste. The par 4 18th hole sets up a variety of options to most golfers
from the tee and has a choice of two greens to finish your round.
The luxurious clubhouse includes modern spacious locker rooms, pro shop
offering the latest in golf equipment and accessories, a choice of
restaurants serving international cuisine, the Maya Dhevi Spa and
swimming pool.
