Waterford Valley Golf Course is 40 minutes from the city of Chiang Rai in one of Thailand’s most attractive and coolest areas. The Waterford golf course is built upon a plateau, surrounded by lush valleys and mountains. The beautiful mountains of the North provide a pleasant distraction to a day on the fairways, which themselves are surrounded by trees, shrubs and bushes and make this 7,100 yard, par 72 championship layout one of the most scenic in Thailand.

Designed in 1994 by Rather International, this course is maturing rapidly. The natural beauty, incredible vistas, great design and refreshing climate, make for an unforgettable day of golf.

Waterford is well designed to incorporate the natural beauty and amazing views. Numerous hazards adorn the course including an abundance of lakes and streams bordering many holes. Players can hit long drives as the fairways are quite generous. Greens are for the most part flat with a few undulations.

After golf players have a good view of the surroundings and suburbs of Chiang Rai from the club house. The natural beauty, incredible vistas, and refreshing climate, make for an unforgettable day of golf. There is also an on site golf resort which consists of a 20 room golf lodge as well as 30 dormitory style rooms.

The 18-hole Waterford Valley Golf Course lies approximately 40 minutes from the city of Chiang Rai in one of Thailand's most attractive and in the winter -- coolest areas.  The beautiful mountains of the North provide a pleasant distraction to a day on the fairways, which themselves are a sight for sore eyes -- surrounded by trees, shrubs and bushes.  Numerous hazards adorn the surroundings and the course is fringed by pleasant housing projects that fail to impose on the beautiful surroundings.  The resort runs a 20-room lodge as well as a 30-room condominium-style accommodation with room rates ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 baht.
